Evaluation of Water Quality Impact Caused by Common Hazardous Waste Landfill Facility in Gummidipoondi, Tamilnadu India

The aim of the study was to evaluate water quality impact caused due operations common hazardous waste landfill facility (CHWLF) in Gummidipoondi industrial estate, Tiruvallur district, Tamilnadu, India. watershed area delineated using Arc-GIS tools and prediction ground flow direction carried out three-dimensional model VISUAL MODFLOW software. analysis performed upstream downstream directions project site results showed that all tested parameters were within BIS 10500:2012 drinking limits, except pH which slightly acidic characteristics certain locations. samples mostly belonged Ca + Mg-HCO3’ type as classified multivariate method piper diagram. Co-relation between determined statistical Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) values.
